Ormiston College had an outstanding Trimester 2, being crowned the Champion Rugby School, Champion Boys Tennis School and also the Overall Trimester 2 Champion School. However, these achievements pale into insignificance to the enjoyment, comradery, resilience and connectedness the students experienced being involved in OC sport. The memories and life-lessons taken from Trimester 2 will help shape the young people of Ormiston College.
Now that a very competitive Trimester 1 and 2 is in the past we focus on the Trimester 3 sports of Boys Basketball, Girls Volleyball, Girls Touch Football and Boys Football. In 2017, Ormiston College placed second overall in Trimester 3 behind Cannon Hill Anglican College.
Cannon Hill finished on 29 points ahead of the Redbacks on 26 points. John Paul College (24), West Moreton Anglican College (23), St Columban’s (22) and St Paul’s Schools (21) were hot on our heels in a very competitive season of sport. Canterbury College (18) were seventh overall, however, their significant improvements in Trimester 1 and 2 this year would suggest they will be a very competitive opposition in 2017. Redeemer (13) and St John’s (6) rounded out the Overall Champion School rankings.
A historical recap of each sport is included in the individual reports of this edition of the Redback Reporter.
We are looking forward to another fantastic season of sport with Trimester 3 kicking off at home this week.
