The Olympic Games are the greatest show on earth. Period. Being selected to represent your country is the childhood dream of many athletes competing. There is so much emotion wrapped up in trying to qualify, pre-competition, during the Games proper and then post-games. Round 4 was shaping up as a very important round for the Redbacks in their quest for the overall Champion School status. Rounds 1 and 2 saw OC play WestMAC and Canterbury College respectively with both schools securing a win or two more than what they achieved against the Redbacks the previous season. OC drew the bye in Round 3 and the students were forewarned about being prepared for St Paul’s, as in 2015 we were very flat coming out of the bye and were only able to win seven games and draw two out of 24 games against CHAC. The Redbacks had a very solid morning against St Paul’s, improving on the 2015 performance of 12 wins and 12 losses with 13 wins, two draws and nine losses....
In Round 5 the Redbacks face the 2015 Trimester 3 Champion School, Cannon Hill Anglican College. In 2015, we played CHAC coming off the bye away and the Redbacks were ambushed by a hungry group of students from Cannon Hill. The morning finished up with seven wins, two draws and 15 losses for OC. This year, we host CHAC and will be looking to build from a great round against St Paul’s....
Over the past 20 years, the Redbacks have now played St Paul’s in 132 games of Boys Basketball with a 70% success rate (92 wins and 40 losses). ...

The Ormiston College Athletics Team travelled to the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC) on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 July to compete in the Bayside District Athletics Carnival.
