A TAS Boys Hockey Carnival was due to be played on Saturday 31 October, however, limited interest from other TAS schools saw the cancellation of this event. Unperturbed and passionate about providing an opportunity for interested boys to play hockey, Mr Garnett challenged the Girls First XI Hockey team to a game against the boys.

The boys ended up victors 4-1, however the game was locked at 1-1 for a large majority of the game. Both girls and boys showed great sportsmanship and respect for each other and played the game with great enthusiasm and skill. Thanks to Miss Pangrazio for umpiring and for all the students and teachers who came down to support this event. Thanks also to Mr Paul Glover, a parent of one of the boys, for helping Mr Garnett organise and train this team.

Hopefully next year the boys can play in a TAS carnival in Term 4 and also give the girls some preseason training prior to their TAS season in 2016 to return the favour.
